Serviced!

Today is minor service day! The tasks mentioned below successfully performed!

1) Changed the brake servo hose. I used normal fuel hose temporarily as the original servo hose had cracked air out. No such hose could be found in Labuan and auto parts shop here convinced me that fuel hose is better to be used. Yes, no problem in using it BUT after a while the servo started looses air. If you ever installed the original servo hose, you can feel how tight and 'fit' it is to your servo end and engine end. With this, my braking power revived! No more braking issue; means no more problem before inspection by PUSPAKOM!

2) Changed all injector seals and o-rings (4 sets of them). This cure everything! Start the car, no more trembles, no more hesitation, engine run setadily and smoothly. I then adjusted back the idle speed screw to achieve 1000rpm on idle. Good!

3) Changed all four (4) spark plugs using VOLVO original plugs.

4) Changed engine oil & filter. Decided to use Castrol Motor Oil 20W-50, mineral engine oil. This is my first time using Castrol's engine oil as the 240 consistently used Caltex engine oil before changing to Petronas Syntium 800 Semi-Synthetic. And guess what? The Castrol Motor Oil is GREEN in color!!

After all, the car is ready for PUSPAKOM inspection, change ownership, and re-register!

Good Day!
